I'd blagged a pre-release of the LP, being a press journo at the time. It was released on a subsidiary of Virgin, who were always generous with review copies of stuff, records, books, anything. There was a crowd of boring unimpressed hipsters standing at a distance from the front of a stage. Me and a mate, astonished by their diffidence, in love with the album, and extremely drunk, headed down the front, boogied frenetically, and cheered the band on raucously. They looked mortified.Mark Kardwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17791352096505994671noreply@blogger.com
